Faculty Development Training Programme (3 days Revised Basic Course Workshop in Medical Education Technologies) under Medical Education Unit, School of Medicine (KIMS) was held from 1st – 3rd February 2018 in MEU Hall, KIMS. Thirty faculties from different departments were trained in the said workshop by 13 resource persons as per the topic allotted to them. The programme was monitored by MCI observer Dr. Krishna Kar, Prof & HOD, Deptt. Of Community Medicine RMMC, Baripada. The workshop started with a formal inauguration by Prof. Sasmita Samanta, Registrar, KIIT Deemed to be University by lightening lamp in the presence of Prof. (Dr.) B. C. Das, Prof. Emeritus, Prof. (Dr.) J.K. Dash, Principal-Cum-Officer-in –Charge, MEU & Prof. (Dr.) Basanta Ku Behera, Coordinator, MEU.

The three-day workshop was conducted smoothly & successfully as per the pre-designed programme.

The Odisha Council for Medical Registration has awarded 8 credit hours to the said 3-days workshop.At the end of the session, Prof. (Dr.) Hrushikesh Mohanty, Vice Chancellor, KIIT Deemed to be University address in the Valedictory Programme. Prof. (Dr.) J. K. Dash, Prof. (Dr.) B. C. Das, Prof. P. K. Patnaik, Medical Superintendent and Mr. Panchanan Parida, Management Representative also spoke in the valedictory function. The Faculty Development Training Programme ended with distribution of certificates by the delegates and vote of thanks by Prof. (Dr.) Basanta Ku Behera, Coordinator, and MEU.
