The department of community medicine, KIMS in collaboration with department of endocrinology observed the world diabetes day on November 14, 2017 at urban health centre of KIMS. On the occasion, more than 120 people guidance of Dr. Basanta Kumar Behera, Dr. Smrutiranjan Nayak, Dr. Ipsa Mohapatra and Dr. Alpana Mishra. A CME covering topics such as ‘what we know about Diabetes’ and ‘Prevention of Diabetes’ was inaugurated by Prof. Jyotin Kumar Dash, Principal, KIMS, Prof. R. N. Rout, H.O.D. of community medicine, Dr. Dayanidhi Meher, Endocrinologist and Prof. Basanta Kumar Behera. A large number of students also took out an awareness rally on the occasion.
